- Goal Shooter (GS) - can occupy the attacking goal third only. This netball position can score goals
- Goal Attack (GA) - can occupy the centre third and the attacking goal third. This netbal position can score goals
- Wing Attack (WA) - can occupy the centre third and the attacking goal third but is NOT allowed inside the goal circle
- Centre (C) - this netball position can occupy all all three thirds of the court but NOT the goal circles
- Wing Defence (WD) - can occupy the centre third and the defending goal third but is NOT allowed inside the goal circle
- Goal Defence (GD) - can occupy the centre third and the defending goal third
- Goal Keeper (GK) - can occupy the defending goal third only
